Uniform Frustration

One of my concerns about Daniel starting school was that he was going to lose lots of things. He isn't the best with organisation and being focussed so his things were bound to get lost. I have labelled everything of his so that it could come back if he lost it.

He has many times lost his lunch boxes and they have returned all but one time. Glad that they seem to return eventually and often he finds them where he was eating his food.

At the end of last term Daniel lost his hat at school. Since then we have checked lost property repeatedly and there has been nothing. It's so frustrating. It is labelled but hasn't come back yet. I really hope that someone just hasn't noticed and that it will come back soon. But then today when I picked up Daniel, I went though the check list for him.
-Have you got your lunch boxes? Yes.
-Have you changed your reader? Yes.
-Have you got your hat? No.

I sent him back into the classroom to check for it. No luck. His 2nd hat gone. But he did come out with his drink bottle. Sigh!

-Have you got your jumper? Yes. In my bag. Wrong answer! Try again. He was sure it was put in the bag. But it was not. I sent him back into the classroom to check but again, no luck.

Bah! Tomorrow he will have no hat and no jumper at school. So annoying! I've posted on the class page asking parents to check if they accidentally have Daniel's hat or jumper but I'm not really holding my breath. I don't understand how people can just take someones things. Anyway, I am annoyed about it but I also know that it is bound to happen again and again and again. I just wish that Daniel would put his things back in his bag so that they don't get lost!
