Bluey's Adventure

When we got home from the Blue Mountains I printed off some photos from the day and drew some lines next to it for Daniel. He sat down at his desk to start doing his recount of Bluey's Blue Mountains Adventure. I loved seeing his enthusiasm when writing and to be able to sit next to him and just say 'What is your sentence? Write it.' and then watch him sound out the words to do his writing. He is doing so amazingly well! It was funny to notice that if I stayed in the room, he would chat after each word, talk about how he was sounding it out, etc. But when I went out of the room he would focus a lot more. The recount that he did was awesome!

I sent the recount into school to show Mrs Fearnside. She was amazed at it and decided to send it to the principal. Daniel's first trip to the Principal's office was a positive one. Phew!
I love that she wrote him a note back and gave him a Principal's award sticker. Well done, Daniel!
Mrs Fearnside was so impressed, she decided to give Daniel Bluey again. Lucky boy!
