June and July going ons

It has been a while between blogs. Life got busy, kids got sick, tiredness increased, photos increased, motivation decreased so blogging kinda stopped. Sorry! I really want to try and stay on top of blogging and think I need to start doing little blog posts more regularly. Will see how I go.

Anyway, here is a glimpse at life with 3 kiddies over June and July.

Horse rides have become a thing.
To help out the Howies, we looked after Oscar in the afternoon a couple of days. It was great to see the kids playing together. Oscar even provided some entertainment at swimming.

Speaking of swimming lessons, each of the kids are doing so well!
Daniel's swimming has come a long way. When he focusses he does so well with keeping his arms straight, chin down and straight legs to kick.
Eliza's confidence in the water has come so far too! She is doing great rocket arms and has just started to do paddling arms.
Alexander loves his swimming lessons! He is now swimming on his own with Christine his teacher but before that he enjoyed swimming with both myself and James. His confidence really grew swimming with Jenny.
Since swimming on his own he loves wearing his goggles and swimming cap.

When Oscar isn't there, the kids find entertainment themselves, often at my expense.
When picking up Oscar from his house, the kids occupied themselves with the treehouse. Spot the 3 Noble kiddies.
Eliza made it to the top
All 3 kiddies. Can you find them?
The trampoline was also a hit.
"Help. Get them off me!"
Mums group is always fun. Each week Emily and Eliza work out whose house they'd like to go to after school and then travel there with either Anne or myself. Ems often walks back with us.
The kids also do very cute performances.
Eliza also had her first cup of tea at Mums Group and quite enjoyed it. Small amount of boiled water, tea bag dunked a few times, lots of milk. Not a bad cup of tea for a 4 year old.
We went to a science themed birthday party which had some cool experiments. One was being put into a bubble.
But a definite hightlight was having chocolate icecream made from nitrogen. It was so tasty!
At a women's retreat that I went to with church, one of the electives was flower arranging/wreath making. I decided that I wanted to make a wreath for Eliza because she always asks me if I'd like some flowers from the shops and picks me flowers from the garden. She was so excited to get some flowers for her.
During the building of our roof, the noise was very loud at times. Harry one day asked me if I'd like some ear plugs because the noise would be loud. I had already put earmuffs on Alexander so said that I could wear Eliza's ones. They worked perfectly!
Eliza painted a picture of me at preschool. I asked her what it was called and she said 'Mummy and a bug'.
Daniel brought home a picture he did at school of the colour run. I loved the colours and the drawing. So cute.
Daniel lost his 2nd tooth and wanted to write another letter to the toothfairy. We did tell him that the toothfairy might not write back, but should leave some money for him instead of his tooth.

To Tooth Fairy, I hope you had a fun time collecting teeth. From Daniel

I remember being able to poke my tongue through my front teeth so asked Daniel to do it
These 2 monkeys enjoy park adventures when Daniel is at school.
We had fun doing some chalk drawings on the driveway. We traced around Daniel and Eliza and then they drew inside themselves.

The kids had fun playing in the cot. I was surprised that Daniel still fits into it!

For Eliza's birthday she got a gift voucher from Grannie Jean. We eventually got around to going to the shops and she was very excited with the presents she got, especially her Elsa lego.
She loves playing with her Elsa lego. It was very sweet watching her play with Alexander with it.
We decided it was time for the kids to get desks for their rooms and found the perfect ones on Gumtree. They fit perfectly between the kids' beds and bookshelves. I love walking past their rooms, looking in and seeing them sit at their desks playing or drawing.

Now the backroom is done we got playdough out again. The kids are enjoying playing with it, making creations and even pretending to cook with it.

As I mentioned the building has finished which is good but also sad. Toward the end of the building, the foot holes in the roof were getting plastered up. This was something that Alexander always pointed out to people. Dan's foot and Harry's foot.

We have loved having Dan and Harry around (and Jack toward the end of the 3 months). They have become an extension of our family, they have been so kind and patient with the kids. That's why it's sad they have finished up because they're not around every day saying hi to the kids. They are good blokes these 2.
I love Alexander giggles.
I love it when Alexander wears overalls. It is even cuter when he makes pockets out of them.

Alexander's bike has been used a lot by the kids. Eliza and Alexander have had lots of fun pulling each other around in the trailer. Unfortunately the trailer isn't as strong as the other bike we used to have so we have finished that game, but it was fun while it lasted.

Must have a silly photo
I loved walking into Eliza's room after Daddy put 'her' to bed at night.
One dinner at Nana and Poppy's house the kids had fun dressing up in Mum and Dad's shoes. Many giggles were had.
I love Alexander looking up to Oscar

Alexander just loves running and jumping into the beanbag.
We went around to a friends' house down the road - Eve and Sophie - from school who we walk with to and from school. The kids had a great time playing with them but especially loved playing in the cars with them driving up and down the lawn listening to 'What does the Fox Say?'

A sweet moment captured between my 2 boys while watching TV. They were holding hands. Love it.
And a sweet moment between Eliza and Alexander - her wanting him to sit on her lap for a bit.
With the renovations, the kids were keen to check out the progress.

After the backroom was done, we got some new shelves and set it up. I think the kids missed having this space.
They also missed having the cars outside to drive around in and play with.
Eliza and Alexander did some reading together in the morning.
Eating lunch with Alexander, I loved that he just wanted to hold my hand as he ate. Bless.

At preschool Alexander and Daniel are desperate most days to do some painting. Most days I say no but one morning I said yes and they both were so delighted!

The kids made letters for Grannie Jean for us to send. I loved Daniel's one for her. His writing is coming such a long way!
Alexander is a classic when eating a banana. Never seen this before!
Vesty buddies!
Daniel had his first athletics carnival at school. It was cool to see him do the activities and the running race.
I loved seeing Eliza go and give Uncle Howie some cuddles.
Eliza, Daniel and I enjoyed having a lolly necklace that Mum and Dad brought home from their holiday.
I took Daniel, Eliza and Alexander to the cricket nets at school because Daniel was desperate to do some cricket practice. He was so keen on it, he decided to write what positions we'd be playing.
He and Alexander also do a lot of cricket in the hallway.

At school, Daniel and his kindy buddies had fun celebrating 100 days of Kindergarten and of school. What a great achievement! He loves his teacher, Mrs Fearnside. I love it how she got involved in the celebrations too.

Alexander is getting so big!
James and I took the kids to the AFL to watch the Swans play. Daniel was planning to come with us but he unfortunately started to feel sick so he (wisely) decided that he would stay home with Nana. Alexander told me that I needed to wear a beanie like him. When your baby boy tells you to wear a beanie, you do.
On the way Eliza and Alexander fell asleep in the car. So much for being excited to go to the game. Ha.
At least James and I were excited.
We made it to the game in time for the bounce.

For the kids, the AFL is about food and lollies. Eliza was so very excited to have some lollies. I loved her reaction when she saw Poppy getting the lollies out.
There are lollies
Yummy
Crazy excited!
The earmuffs worked well and the kids were happy to have them on which is great. Even though I don't get to watch the game properly, I do enjoy sharing the game with the kids. I can't wait to do it with all 3 of them as they grow up and they start to understand the game more.

We finished with a win which was great! Eliza proudly wore her Swans cape on the way back to the car and Alexander enjoyed going in the ergo.

Crazy face is a must
Before getting into the car James and the kids enjoyed kicking the ball around for a bit.

I then enjoyed being a back seat bandit with the cheeky kiddies.
I love listening to Alexander singing his songs. Here he is singing the 'Watermelon' song from Play School.
I love these cute, crazy kiddies!
