Woolworths Blast Cricket

This year Daniel participated in Cricket again just at his school. This year has been SOOOOO much better than last year! This year he has been much more active, has been doing more skills and has been learning through games, compared to last year where it was mainly skills based and one-on-one with your parent which was tricky at times if you had other kids there with you. The kit that they got this year was awesome too. You could choose your own team colours. Daniel chose Sydney Sixers! His name is even on the back of the shirt.

So cool! I want one!

So while he has been completely engaged each week with the activities they are doing, I have had to take Eliza and Alexander with me a couple of weeks because James has been out with work or church or preschool commitments. The kids have been great though. They have either played on the play equipment or they have done some cricket skills of their own in a net session.

I do love both of their bowling actions. Alexander is pretty good though with his bowling. It goes pretty straight most times (although he doesn't have a straight arm yet. That will come). They are also pretty excited when they hit the ball. Or more surprised. Ha.

I love Eliza's encouragement toward Alexander in this next video. And also his reaction too to hitting the ball.

This last one cracked me up. Yep, we're still doing bowling and I'm on the receiving end of the bowl/throw. Glad it didn't hit me because it had a lot of force behind it.

Maybe we will have a lot of weekends at the cricket as these kiddies grow up! There is a bit of skill there me thinks.
