'I dress myself'

Oh my goodness! I know that I was called the 'I can do it girl' for a lot of my younger life. I was determined and wanted to do things on my own, much to my mother's frustration. Sorry Mum! Maybe it is a younger sibling thing, wanting to be able to do what the big kids do. I don't know. But Alexander is following in my footsteps and wants to do many things on his own. One morning he decided that he wanted to get dressed on his own. I could write about it but I think a pictures says a thousand words instead. It still makes me giggle.

Putting on his own shirt (after many attempts to get his head through the arm hole he got there with a small amount of help).

Close but not quite there... Mummy needed to help a bit
 Pants time.

Pull up...
Hands slip off
Try again
Finish with a pants dance because you're crazy and like to make Mummy giggle.

Well done bubba. I hope you become a strongly independent man who knows God and doesn't get swayed by others' opinions. I hope and pray that you will strive the be the best you can be, that you will be keen to give things a go on your own but that you will also know that it is ok to ask for help. I hope and pray that you will not be a sheep but will be confident in yourself and your decisions to follow them through. Love you cheeky monkey.
