Reptile Park through Scottish Eyes

Rach's Mum had been out from Scotland visiting Rach in Australia for a few weeks. We were quite excited to meet here but also keen to show her around the Reptile Park. We had a voucher for a free photo which we were also more than happy to gift to her to get a photo with a koala. It was lovely seeing the Reptile Park through a tourists eyes because we sure do take it for granted! The kids were excited to show Tim, Rach and Arlene around the different animals. First up we went to show them the alligators, lizards and snakes and then we had to show them the dancing spider (the kids favourite). We had to remind the kids a few times that we were showing them around so needed to see the Australian animals too. We headed down to the grass area and Arlene was so excited to see kangaroos. She couldn't believe that she could pat them and was even more surprised when we said that she could feed them. Rach bought a couple of bags of food and the kids and Rach and Arlene fed the kangaroos. It was great being early in the morning because it meant that the kangaroos were actually hungry and ate.

It was so beautiful to see Arlene have tears of joy at being able to feed the kangaroos. Tim explained that she just wanted to see a kangaroo so to be able to pat one was amazing and to feed one was such a surprise and special moment.

The kids also had a great time feeding the kangaroos, although Alexander wasn't to sure about it but was happy to smile near one.

Much happier waving to the kangaroo instead!

During the reptile show it was so nice to see the kids with Tim and Rach. Eliza in particular loves Rach!
Tim and Rach then decided that Arlene could have a photo with a koala but also needed one with the python. She and Rach weren't so keen but they decided to do it all together.
We saw a few more animals, ate lunch together, said hi to Hugo.

It was a really hot day so we didn't end up staying much longer but it was such a lovely day and as I said. So nice to see the animals through someone elses eyes.
