Start of Year 2 for Daniel

Last Wednesday Daniel headed off to start his first day of Year 2. He was glad to be back to see his mates but I think he liked being on holidays and the freedom to do what he wants when he wants.

We filled in his Year 2 board.
It's cute that a lot of his answers are the same year to year. I do wonder when and if they will change.
When I asked him to get a photo of him he was very helpful. Cheeky boy!

I do love his laugh.

You are going to be amazing in year 2 Daniel! Can't wait to see your love of reading continue to grow and your love of learning. My your inquisitive mind push you to learn and understand more than you thought. Please try to talk a little less (tonight I met your teachers and they both separately said that you love to talk) and talk at the right times. I hope that you can continue to focus on the work that you need to do and that you will continue to strive to achieve your best in all that you do. I love your inquisitive mind, your big heart for your friends and your eagerness to help. Enjoy this year in 2BE.

On the Thursday we were able to help out Anna by looking after Mikey while Emma started preschool. It was a big move for him to come with us. Mikey does like being close to Anna but he did really well with us. When he got upset he settled with cuddles. I walked him to school in the pram and it was so sweet to see the kids all chatting with him at different points. Alexander was giving him trains to hold, Eliza was tickling his head, Daniel was bending down and asking him questions. It was very cute.
Daniel also walked all the way to school holding the pram. Loved it. He used to do the same with Alexander in his pram.
I like that Anna was comfortable with us looking after him, and that Mikey was happy to be with us too. I'm looking forward to being able to help out other mums more as my kids are growing up.
