Thursday night we had dinner at Mum and Dad's place. Mum had made brownies for dessert and put a candle in it so we could sing Happy Birthday. Of course the kids helped sing and blow out the candles.
Saturday afternoon we headed to Auntie Julie and Uncle Pete's place to celebrate Boompa's birthday all together. It was a lovely evening with lots of chats, the kids had a blast playing games together and playing with the marble run (I bought it from the Salvos a late last year for just $9. The kids loved it!) Of course we had cake and the kids helped blow out the candles again.
Daniel was very into exploring how to put the marble run together and make it flow really well.
Family fun!
It was also our first time going for a drive in the 7 seater car with all 7 seats being used.
Sunday evening Nana J and Boompa came to stay with us. It was quite eventful with us having a blackout overnight and a lot of rain which added to the excitement. The kids played games with them, read many books, joined together we pick up and drop offs.
With the blackout, the school was encouraging families to keep their kids at home. Thursday morning we planned to do that and head out for breakfast together and of course the power turned on again. We were fortunately able to fit in breakfast before heading off to school.
It was lovely have Malcolm and Julie come and visit and stay with us.
