Eliza's 5th Birthday

My baby girl is now 5 years old! Where has that time gone? My Lizey Lou is such a kind hearted, determined, firecracker, strong willed, caring, creative and imaginative little girl who I just adore. This year at preschool she is seen as such a kind, caring, inclusive girl who looks out for others. I am so proud of how she is approaching things that have overwhelmed her in the past. Her giggle is contagious, her smile lights up a room. She can be loud, she loves to sing, draw, be creative. I love how Eliza talks about her thoughts in third person 'My head is telling me to do this.' or 'My head is showing me a movie of what happened.' Such a unique girl who I adore.
Last night as a 4 year old

In the morning Eliza woke up and we got dressed ready for a preschool day. Once we were all dressed and had breakfast we then gave Eliza her birthday messages book and her presents. I loved Alexander's message for her that had his first proper drawing of a person. Loved it!

Reading her birthday messages
Loving Alexander's drawing of her
Daniel really wanted a photo of him and Eliza. They really do love each other, even though they don't always show it.
Eliza has been wearing stickers on her ears for earrings over the last few weeks. She was excited to get some real stick on earrings.

Oh this precious face!

I love that she enjoys playing with her dolls house
Straight into the earrings
It was Harmony Day at preschool for her birthday so she was dressed in orange for the day.

My gorgeous girl!
I asked Eliza if she wanted to take cupcakes to preschool or if she wanted me to make fruit cupcakes. She chose fruit cupcakes. They turned out to be pretty cute. Watermelon, rockmelon and a grape or strawberry on top.
We headed into preschool with her to drop her off. Happy Harmony Day!
She had an awesome day, was very busy and enjoyed her fruit cupcakes.

In the afternoon James went and picked up Nana J from the station. When we got home from preschool the kids got to have a fruit cupcake each.
After dinner (Eliza's choice of hamburgers) we then surprised her with cupcakes. You can't have a birthday without cakes!

The surprise on her face was precious

So lovely to have Nana J with us for her birthday!
Eliza then was very spoilt by Nana J and Boompa, Grannie Jean and Aunty Jen, Uncle Ryan, Maddie and Aly.
Strawberry Shortcake card!

Cuddling her cuddle pillow

The gorgeous card from Nana J and Boompa is a box of flowers
The birthday celebrations continued on Thursday night when we went around to Nana and Poppy's place for dinner. The Howie's were excited to give Eliza her gift.
Oscar kindly read Eliza her card

Junior Monopoly! Which she won the first time we played it
She then openned her gifts from Nana and Poppy.

Another red jacket! Yay!
And a gorgeous denim jacket
Nana kindly made Eliza a birthday cake too which she was surprised to get.

I love watching the bond between her and Oscar

Happy 5th Birthday gorgeous girl! You have been very spoilt and deserve to be! Thank you for being such a delight to us. The celebrations continued on Saturday at her party.
