3 generations to the V8s

James, Daniel and Malcolm headed to Tasmania to go and watch the V8s at Simmons Plains. James and Daniel went to it when we did our holiday in Tasmania 2 years ago and they loved it. They loved the close feel you had at the track, the access to meet the different drivers was great (back then, Daniel met Craig Lowndes). They could also park the car and sit in it to watch the races. So a great set up.

James decided that he and Daniel would go back there this year and Malcolm was keen to go too. So special having 3 generations of Nobles there. Very precious memories being made.

They headed down to Tasmania on Thursday and headed to the track on Friday. Daniel was so excited! Just look at his joy on the video. I have absolutely no desire to go and watch the V8s, but seeing Daniel's joy in this video makes me want to be there to watch Daniel's reactions and excitement.

On the Friday, Daniel was so excited to meet his new favourite driver since Craig Lowndes retired - Jamie Wincup. He chose him because he drives Holden and he is a good driver. He also got to meet Shane Van Gisbergen. Jamie signed Daniel's poster with his name on it. Too sweet!
He also got to have some fun on the jumping castle and a turn sitting in the go carts.

He liked being at pit lane to get a closer look at the cars and LOVED using his camera to take a million photos.
He loved his first day at the track.
I told James to make Daniel write a journal while they were away. He sent me Daniel's first entry. I love it.
The next day Daniel had a great day. They were there nice and early, got a park and were treated to free bacon and egg rolls. What better way to start the day!
They watched the cars do their racing.
He then met his favourite Aussie Racing Car racer and coincidentally his name was Daniel. Daniel Price. He was chatting with him in pit lane and then as he went off to race, the team manager actually asked if Daniel wanted to go back to the term shed after the race and he could have a sit in the car. What an experience! He was so excited (and so was Daddy).

The race was a good one. They all really enjoyed it, and each got a new cap. I love that they got to have the opportunity to experience this together and I'm sure there will be another trip down the track.
Here is Daniel's diary from his time away.
