Oscar Stay

In the holidays to help out Jens and Howie, we had Oscar come and stay with us. Jens dropped him off for dinner and the kids were so very excited. We ate dinner and then went for a scooter/bike ride/walk.
After we got home it was bed time. Daniel was sharing his room with Oscar but Daniel was very chatty so he went to sleep in our bed and then James carried him back to his bed when we went to sleep.
The next morning we headed out for an adventure. We had thought about a lot of different activities we could do but most we felt wouldn't work having a 9 year old down to a 20 month old or it was too expensive to do with 4 kids. We decided that we'd head to the water park at Dundas Valley after the boys had so much fun at the water park after sand sculptures. I was nervous that they would get bored because there weren't as many water activities, but fortunately the kids made their own fun.

Daniel and Oscar had a blast with the tipping water buckets, Alexander had a blast with the little fountain spray and Eliza had fun walking around, mainly watching everything. She isn't a very big fan of going into the water park water.

Watch out!

I loved watching Oscar's face and reactions!
After lots of water play the kids had some morning tea and then had a bit of a play in the playground. So nice to see them all playing together.

Cousins
Big cousin, little cousin
In the afternoon we watched Cars 3 and enjoyed popcorn. Then Eliza and I made some orange cookings

while Daniel made a birthday card for a friend whose birthday party was the next day and Oscar made his own boardgame.
After dinner it was bedtime for the kids. Oscar was a great help! He told Howie that he was looking forward to reading books to the cousins at bedtime. And that he did. First he read to Alexander.

And then read to Daniel and Eliza a book that he brought from his home. Too precious!
Then Oscar played his game against me (I won) and then against James (Oscar won).
Was lovely having Oscar stay with us and we look forward to having him stay with us in the future.
