We headed on the train into the Lego Awesome display at Darling Harbour. The boys were really good on the train. We then changed to the lightrail and arrived at Darling Harbour just in time.
Daniel was pretty excited to see all the Lego displays.
They were pretty awesome.
Some of the displays I was more interested in than him, like this model of Windsor Castle. The detail was amazing!

We then went over to one of Daniel's favourite displays - the motorbike. He was straight in to building his own motorbike.
Alexander was entertained by the little motorbikes during this time.
He was very pleased with his finished motorbike (with a difference - 4 wheels). He even managed to find a little lego man to go in it.

We then headed over to the duplo display of penguins. Daniel decided to copy another persons penguin. Alexander even got into the action making his own one and I quite enjoyed making one of my own. Daniel enjoyed it so much he decided to make a 2nd penguin.

Alexander really liked the koala display.
Daniel enjoyed the Crocodile display where you needed to make an animal to join the display. He found it funny that the crocodile had a little person inside its mouth.
He then set to work making his own animal. He kept saying to me 'You need to wait and see.'
I really liked seeing him being creative and making his own creations. His final creation was this...

And Alexander was excited to see the spider.
Daniel was then excited to make his own futuristic car, while looking at the car from Back To The Future. He was very creative again.
Daniel was amazed by the height of the rocket It almost reached the roof.
I quite liked the display of the Eiffel Tower.
Daniel saw the display of the Opera House but commented that the Harbour Bridge was missing.
And I was amazed by the detail on the cruise ship.
We kinda rushed the last few displays because Alexander was getting quite fussy because he was hungry and tired. We headed outside and had lunch in the shade. We then walked over and Daniel got to have an icecream. He chose cookies and cream and was quite happy that the lady put in a few chunks of cookies.
We then needed to head back to the lightrail to head home so we could pick up Eliza from preschool. Daniel wanted to go on the play equipment so I compromised that he could go on things as we walked back. He quite liked the flying fox.
Daniel enjoyed waving to the lightrail drivers as they went past.
The adventure was a bit too tiring for Alexander who fell asleep on the lightrail tram and stayed asleep until we got home.
