Happy Place

The beach is my happy place. Always has been. Pretty sure it always will be. It is a different experience going to the beach now with kids compared to before kids but it is still so lovely to make the time to go. I love sitting on the sand, watching the waves, looking out to the horizon. I love feeling the water (more so when it is warmer though). 

I decided to take the kids up to Umina for the day. They had a blast playing in the sand, building sand castles, feeling the water.

Alexander and Daniel are matchy matchy with their rash vests.

Eliza just loves the sand!

I was enjoying my time sitting on the sand, watching the water...

So Alexander decided that my legs were the perfect seat for him to play in the sand.

The kids started making sandcastles.

Eliza started to dig a hole and then jumped into it. I decided to take advantage of her placement and pushed sand ontop of her legs to bury her. She enjoyed it!

The boys decided to help bury their sister.

But she escaped.

Then it was Daniel's turn to get buried.

Break free!

And then Daniel and Eliza wanted to bury Alexander.

They then put me to work as they all wanted to be buried.

I then decided to be creative and do some sand art on my kids. Alexander moved too much so kept breaking the sand. I made Daniel into a turtle.

And I decided to make Eliza into a mermaid.

It was a lot of fun to make them.

We then went and had lunch beside the park followed by a play. It is a pretty cool park. Daniel enjoyed the ropes pyramid while Eliza loved the flying fox.

Now that I have done it on my own I am keep to go back again. The kids really enjoyed themselves, I enjoyed it and they were so good. Will need to return hopefully soon.
