On the 11th August 2019 Eliza called out at 1:30am for me. This isn't out of the ordinary as she normally calls out to us in the night to go to the toilet. But this time when I got to her, it was to tell me that he tooth had come out. She was holding it! Lucky that she didn't swallow it while she slept. Still tired I told her that we'd put it in a cup for safety and go back to sleep and we would sort it out in the morning. It has been so loose, it didn't even bleed when it fell out! Impressive.
In the morning Eliza was very excited to have her gap! She couldn't wait to get to preschool to show her teachers and her friends.

She was very excited to tell her teachers that she had lost a tooth. As soon as we arrived she went up to them with a big grin and they were very excited for her and asked if the Tooth Fairy came. She said no and I explained that it fell out in the middle of the night so the Tooth Fairy would probably come tonight.
When Eliza came home she wrote a letter for the Tooth Fairy. Even though we had told her it was pretend, we thought it would still be fun to do, like Daniel did with his first tooth. She wrote this letter for the Tooth Fairy.
We put her tooth in the cup in some water next to her bed as she went to sleep. In the night the 'Tooth Fairy' came to visit and gave her $2. The 'Tooth Fairy' also wrote her a card (thanks to Siobhan who kindly came around and wrote the card for me). Eliza was very excited in the morning.
Lucky little girl. She then said to me 'See Mummy The Tooth Fairy is real.' Oh well. We will just role with it for now. And each time she asks, tell her the truth and let her believe what she wants.
She then lost her 2nd tooth at preschool on 10th September. The Tooth Fairy came again and gave her $1. Crazy how she is loosing them so much faster than Daniel did.
