They do say that boredom creates unique ideas and sure enough it is true. After us getting Drive Thru Maccas for dinner to celebrate Alexander's first day of school, the kids decided to make their own drive thru using the scooters. They used an iPhone recording for the person taking orders, drew speakers on the back of the plastic chairs and made a track to ride along.
I do love these moments when they work together, when they organise and plan together, and when they use their imaginations. I do wonder if these moments make more lasting memories than playing devices or not. Even if it doesn't for the kids, it does for me.
