It was the 1st of December (well, actually it was the 30th of November for Tuesday fun night, but don't let a facts point a good start to the story). Our Tuesday fun night was to decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the children. We had fun putting up our fake tree (with being in Hervey Bay this year for Christmas we weren't getting a fresh tree this year).
It is a fun tradition decorating the tree each year and videoing it. Alexander loved putting the star on this year.
Carol did a kids talk and gave each family Advent calendars and I joked how I was going to label each door so the kids won't fight about whose turn it was. So she then turned up at the door with another 2 calendars for the kids so there would be no fighting. Ha. They were very excited to get chocolate each day!
I started a Bible Advent where I was to read a chapter of Luke's gospel each day. This way I am refreshing myself of the story of Jesus' life in the lead up to his birth. I hope to do this tradition each year.
Then at night we started our Christmas book countdown...
