Beach trips

These holidays I also wanted to head to the beach a few times. After all, it is our happy place. So we made that happen - sometimes with just me and other times with James (and Oscar) too.

The kids just love running into and out of the waves, throwing sand at them and just having fun! Daniel took his board but there weren't very many waves for him to catch but he kept trying. The problem was that they were crashing at the edge of the water, not further out so that made it tricky. It is nice being at an age where I don't have to go into the water with them but can watch them from the side and go in when I want to.

The normal sandcastle and tunnel digging happened too of course. And Eliza had fun having her feet get buried in the waves.

We then headed back to the beach with Daddy and invited Oscar to come with us too which he took up. The kids had a blast! Daniel and Oscar really enjoyed trying to catch some waves.

Eliza and Alexander had fun finding pippies in the sand and seeing if they go wee wee (like in Bluey).

We then got out, dried off and enjoyed dinner of fish and chips (and burger for Oscar). As well as enjoyed taking the 'tourist' photos.

It was a fun evening with great company! We really need to remember this for future holiday times.
