This year we have finished up another special tradition - watching the Garbage Truck Drivers and Postie come to our house. Every Tuesday Alexander has loved hearing the garbage truck come down our street and has had a big grin as they have driven past, collected our garbage bin and have waved, beeped, honked their horn to say hi. With Alexander starting preschool next year on Monday and Tuesday he now misses out on seeing the garbage truck come.
To say thank you to the garbage truck drivers and to the postie I made them some Christmas cookies and wrote a little thank you note for each of them. Alexander was so excited to give them their gifts. We even had lunch outside so that we didn't miss one of the trucks.
The gifts
The excited giver
The first garbage truck came in the morning.
We then had lunch outside because the 2nd garbage truck hadn't come yet and Alexander didn't want to miss it.
Good thing we were outside.
And we then stayed outside until the postie came.
I do like saying thank you to these guys who do these jobs each day without much thanks.
