As soon as we arrived Daniel saw the rides and in particular the dodgems. We said that we'd come back to the rides so that they could see what else there was around the fair because we didn't want them to spend all their money just on rides and then wish they had spent it on something else. Eliza saw face painting and was super keen to get her face painted.
She especially loved that there were glitter bits on her face paint. Very special!
The boys and I looked at the white elephant store (nothing much of interest there) and then they decided to buy a slushy. They were quite pleased with their purchase.
I bought some books from the 2nd hand book store (my weakness) and then we headed back down for the rides. Daniel and Alexander decided they wanted to go on the dodgems. Daniel loves going on them (always his first choice of ride) and it was Alexander's first go. He liked going on them but didn't like that they bumped and James said that at one point he did slip off the seat which made him a bit upset. He also didn't like how loud it was. But he said he had fun. Daniel loved it!

We enjoyed having lunch with Nana and Poppy before the kids got to spend the rest of their money on the cake and lolly store. Bad choice from us! The cakes and lollies were so cheap that they kids were able to get so much sugar! What happened to cakes being $2.50 like at other fairs? Anyway, the kids loved it.
A fun day out.
