Daddy's Birthday

December 7. Always a fun day when we celebrate Daddy's birthday! I do enjoy the challenge of working out how to make the day special for him, especially when it's at this busy time of year.

It started with dinner at Mum and Dad's place on Thursday night. Of course we had cake and the kids helped blow out the candles! (Thanks Mum). 

I loved this moment with Eliza. She just wanted to give Daddy a big cuddle. Precious

 Saturday morning the kids and I let James have a little sleep in. When he woke up we told him to go back to bed so that we could give him his presents. The kids were very excited. I took them to Kmart and they each chose a gift to give to Daddy.

Snuggles for the birthday boy.

We then got dressed and ready to head out for Breakfast - James loves going out for breakfast and brunch. We headed to the Brook at Cherrybrook. From looking at different restaurants in the area, this one had the best kids menu and it didn't disappoint!

The kids got find-a-words on the back of their menus so that was great to help keep the kids occupied.

Daddy was more than happy with his full breakfast

and I had a tasty veggie burger.

Pretty sure that we will go back to this place!

We came home and watched a few Bluey episodes (more for James than the kids).

We then played the basketball headband game my to James' joy.

The kids loved it!
The afternoon was then kindly shared with the street with out street Christmas party. Love that James was happy to share his birthday with our neighbours.

I love this guy.

I love that he's my best friend. He's an amazing husband, a wonderful support to me, an encouragement to me and many others, he's selfless, loves to help serve others at church, talented, a great Dad, my partner in crime. He make me laugh, helps me when I cry, tends to know what I'm thinking even without me saying it. Love doing life with him and can't wait to see what this next year will hold for him, for us, for our family. Happy birthday honey.
