My birthday 2021

Another birthday, another year older. This year's birthday wasn't anything too big. Alexander made me breakfast in the morning and the kids gave me my presents.

My favourite part was the birthday book messages, particularly Daniel's one saying that he will always want hugs from me. I told him that I will hold him to that.

Today the big kids went to school and Alexander and I had mothers' group at our place. It was a lovely time hanging out together.

For dinner I chose to go to Sushi Train at Hornsby. It was fun going there. We needed the kids to understand that we couldn't just eat as much as we wanted of anything. So we decided on coloured plates that we could chose from. James was the only one allowed to get the plates as they went past, to stop the kids getting upset that someone got more than the others. There was lots of yummy options.

We then headed over to Yogurtberry and to Baskin and Robins for dessert. Eliza was keen to have some frozen yoghurt and enjoyed choosing the toppings that she included.

The rest of us enjoyed ice cream at Baskin and Robins which was equally yummy.

When we got home James needed to head out to church so I got to read and put the kids to bed. We sat on the couch and read another Roald Dahl book - Fantastic Mr Fox. A lovely way to finish off my birthday - surrounded with my gorgeous kiddies. I was filled with many messages of love and birthday wishes from friends and family too.

Saturday was then a birthday lunch at Mum and Dad's place. Jenny and James had organised it with the rest of the family, mainly so that they could order and enjoy a platter from Rachel Wood - The Wooden Platter. They had seen pictures on Facebook and were very keen to try it but didn't have a reason to order it. My birthday provided that reason. It was very yummy, and perfect for Jenny and James. A great idea for entree.

My gorgeous girl has very expensive taste - olives are a favourite
Yum!
Lunch was then a very tasty Chinese lunch. Thanks Mum. There was room to enjoy it too, I made sure of that. I do love my birthday Chinese lunch. Because of having the entree Mum made fried rice and din sims - both which I like lots. Thanks Mumma.

After lunch we then enjoyed Mum's apple pancake cake. I love the butterscotch sauce that goes on top.

Thanks for spoiling me family.
