Another birthday, another year older. This year's birthday wasn't anything too big. Alexander made me breakfast in the morning and the kids gave me my presents.
My favourite part was the birthday book messages, particularly Daniel's one saying that he will always want hugs from me. I told him that I will hold him to that.
Today the big kids went to school and Alexander and I had mothers' group at our place. It was a lovely time hanging out together.
For dinner I chose to go to Sushi Train at Hornsby. It was fun going there. We needed the kids to understand that we couldn't just eat as much as we wanted of anything. So we decided on coloured plates that we could chose from. James was the only one allowed to get the plates as they went past, to stop the kids getting upset that someone got more than the others. There was lots of yummy options.
When we got home James needed to head out to church so I got to read and put the kids to bed. We sat on the couch and read another Roald Dahl book - Fantastic Mr Fox. A lovely way to finish off my birthday - surrounded with my gorgeous kiddies. I was filled with many messages of love and birthday wishes from friends and family too.
