Yesterday Dad, the kids and I headed into the SCG to meet James and watch the Swans play against Essendon for the Qualifying Final. We were just going to take Daniel to the game but with Mum still being sick we worked out that we could take Eliza and Alexander because they were 3 and under. So we were dressed in our red and white and ready to go!
Once there Alexander was good with having his earmuffs on because the noise was so very loud!
We are lucky that laps are made to be sat on because the kids all made good use of the 3 of us.
It was a pretty good game. And wonderful to have the Swans come away with the win! The kids enjoyed dancing and singing the Swans song at the end of the game.
While having the kids at the game is distracting and at times hard, I do love going to the game with my family. I love that 3 generations of my family enjoy going to the games.
The people behind us were so lovely to the kids. Alexander got many high fives from them as he sat there watching them more than the game. One lady was lovely and gave Eliza a packet of yoghurt covered sultanas which she and Daniel really enjoyed.
It was especially lovely having 2 people come up and say that our kids were so well behaved and that is a credit to us and how we were raising them. I am proud of our kids and how they behaved, especially considering Eliza hadn't had a nap and Alexander only had a 20min nap in the car on the way in.
It was a fun night!
