On The Move

After weeks of Alexander being very busy on the ground spinning around in circles he started to piece together how to crawl.
Here is a time lapse of him being busy on the ground. He was much more active other times but like each of my kids, he didn't perform.

Then on Tuesday 13th December 2016 after having lunch I placed Alexander down on the ground while I put Eliza to bed for nap time. I wanted to try and get a different time lapse of him to see if he'd move around more in his circles. This he did but at the end of the time lapse and as I re-entered the room, he started to crawl forward! Clever, cheeky boy.
It was nice having Eliza sleeping and Daniel at preschool at this moment because I could focus on him, I could see if he could repeat it and he wouldn't be distracted by the other kids. And he had worked it out. He is now on the move! It is quite uncoordinated at the moment which is pretty cute and funny to watch.

After preschool I was very excited to tell Daniel about Alexander crawling. He was very excited to see it and used his water bottle to encourage Alexander to crawl towards him.

After bathtime I put him in the hallway and he was on the move in there too.

So I'm in trouble. He's definitely on the move. I now need to check the floor each time I put him on the ground to make sure there aren't any little toys on the ground. I'm a bit worried that he's going to choke on something because Daniel and Eliza have little toys now and they sometimes just leave them lying around on the ground. I'm sure he'll be fine but I just need to try and be a bit more careful.

Anyway, it is lots of fun watching him crawl around. He seems a bit happier now he can move to different things and play with different toys.
