He has made some beautiful friendships which I have loved hearing stories about.
I am so grateful for all the experiences he has had this year. So grateful for the encouragement he has received. So thankful for the patience of his teachers. Daniel has grown in confidence, compassion, creativity. I have loved hearing about each day and can't wait to hear stories next year.
We were invited to attend part of his last day in the classroom. Alison, his teacher, said something that she loved about each of the students. Here is Daniel's comment.
The kids each received a bag with a present inside it. The present was a framed drawing done by Daniel. He told me that it's a picture of him walking over mountains to get to the grass.
One thing that I am so proud of him for doing and never thought he'd be able to do by the end of this year was to write the Christmas cards for his teachers. I was expecting to write each of them and Daniel just sign his name but Daniel was keen to write each of the cards. James and I wrote each letter and Daniel copied them on the card. I couldn't believe it when he finished Alison's card.
