Eliza's birthday started with cake on Tuesday night. We should have had dinner together, but someone was sick so we stayed away. Nana still kindly dropped around the cake she made for Eliza and it was grateful appreciated.
The night before her birthday we went out for Eliza's birthday dinner. She chose to go to The Brook which was yummy as usual.
And cuddles for her last night as a 7 year old.
On the 19th we started the day with birthday book and presents. She sure does the best reactions when opening her gifts. We also got to FaceTime with Nana J to open some of the presents from her and Grannie Jean.
Eliza enjoyed chatting with Clara over FaceTime and being silly on it using different faces and character emojis.
We then went and celebrated Eliza's birthday at the Swans vs Giants game. I made some red and white birthday cupcakes for us to enjoy.
We even 'organised' a concert for Eliza. Well, the Giants organised the concert but we claimed it for Eliza. The Hoodoo Gurus entertained us at halftime.
The boys crack me up that if there is a screen there for them to watch, they will watch it. Here they were watching the game on the big screen, instead of watching the game infant of us.
The Swannies came away with a win for Eliza. Winners! What a fun game together and a great way to celebrate Eliza's birthday.

| I love my girl's confidence and creativity. She dressed herself for the Swans game. It didn't match at all but she loved it and was so confident in it. I hope she never changes! |

In April we were able to celebrate Eliza's birthday with Nana, Poppy and Auntie Sue (the Howie's weren't able to make it). I made Eliza's requested cake of the dressing table, like her one in her room. She also scored a Barbie Doll because I needed to get one so I had the dressing table ornaments.

Daniel also treated the family to a bass performance. He is doing well.
My baby girl. You are now 8 and you are such a strong willed woman. I admire your confidence in yourself. I admire your care for your friends. I love seeing you enjoy life and your creativity, even in your dress. You are crazy and caring, loving and loud. Don't ever change who you are beautiful girl. I am so proud of you and who you are. Happy 8th birthday.
