For over a year Eliza has asked for her ears to get pierced. We kept telling her not until she was older. A couple of her little friends got their ears pierced for their 5th birthday. Eliza got clip on earrings last year and loved wearing them. We decided that this year for her birthday she could get her ears pierced.
Her birthday came and went but we didn't really have the time to go up and get them pierced. That was until she fell from the trampoline. We figured she wouldn't be swimming anyway because of her arm so we might as well also have her ears pierced so she won't be swimming then too. After her arm getting checked at the hospital, we had 45mins before school pick up. We popped into Westleigh Pharmacy (where Emily got her ears pierced) and asked if she could get them done now. They surprisingly said 'yes, it's pretty quiet' so they could do it then and there.
Eliza chose her earrings - purple sparkly ones. Then she was really brave when getting them done. The lady did both ears at the same time which was good. Eliza was asking if it would hurt. We said yes, but like how her lip hurt when her teeth went through it, it would hurt for a moment and then be ok.
It was pretty quick and then she had earrings in her ears.

She is so happy with them. Earrings do actually suit her. We need to wash her ears morning and night with water (I also bought saline solution to wash them). If an infection occurs (which did while we were in Hervey Bay) we were to get some spray for them (which fixed it fine fortunately).
