Hanging with Uncle Howie

On the 5th June, Uncle Howie offered to have a day with Alexander. Legend! I was thinking it would just be for the morning but Howie offered to have Alexander for longer so I dropped him off at around 10am and picked him up at 2. During this time I headed to the shops to get a few things, then I went home and sat and read my book in the sun. It was really nice just having the time to sit and read. I didn't really do much else.
Meanwhile, Uncle Howie and Alexander were quite busy.
They built train tracks. (Howie said that Alexander kept telling him that he was doing it wrong. Story of my life).

They enjoyed donuts together. Lucky boys!
But also had some veggies to balance it all out.
They played on Oscar's new swing.
And enjoyed a little bushwalk.

They watched trains go under the bridge.
Alexander introduced Uncle Howie to grilled cheese and peanut butter on toast.
Then they watched some Bluey (I don't know why the photo is upside down).

And then they finished off the day on the swing again.

They both had an awesome time and they both really enjoyed it which is lovely. Thanks Uncle Howie for giving me some downtime. I'm glad that both boys had fun (even though both boys were really tired after the day too!)
