During this ISO time we decided to try and help Alexander to toilet train in the night. We changed from buying nappies to pull ups and have called them special undies. This way he can pull them up or down if he needs to go to the toilet in the morning. We also decided that if he had dry undies in the morning the kids would be able to have milo with their breakfast. We have also been taking him to the toilet at night when we head to bed and most of the time he does do a wee then which we are proud of him for. He also isn't overly grumpy about going to the toilet most of the time which is also nice.
So over the past couple of months the kids have had milo I think 4 times.
When they get it they are so happy and excited.
But he is still a way off. Sometimes he goes to the toilet while he is sleeping but the biggest challenge is helping him understand that when he wakes up in the morning he needs to go to the toilet then otherwise he will end up doing a wee in his undies. Maybe it will be that he needs to have actual undies on so that he gets wet and feels yucky, but really at the moment I don't want to deal with the extra washing that will involve so instead we will stick with the special undies, the encouragement and the Milo as a reward. He will get there in his own time.
