L-O-V-E Love, That's Why

We have continued to have our church services online during this time and it has been lovely to see familiar faces each week. I have continued to enjoy the kids singing and playing along to the worship songs.

I have also enjoyed the kids talk and lately the kids' song to get everyone up and dancing. 

For Easter we were going to be making LOVE cookies to remember that Jesus made the sacrifice for us because he loves us and wants us to be in a relationship with him. 

I had it all ready to go but we ate so much at Easter time and we were busy so we didn't get around to baking the cookies. I left the cookie cutters on the bench for if we got around to it but the time didn't seem to come up. That was until we learnt about Loving one another and Loving God. When I read this message, I decided that after church we would make LOVE cookies.
The kids helped make the dough.

 And they helped roll it out and cut out the letters. I tried really hard to take a step back and let them do as much as they could. It really helped having 1 kid at a time come and do their part.

We had a whole lot of love!

After baking them we took them out of the oven and once they were cooled, we put icing and m&m's on them.

We had so much love to give, we went and shared some with Nana and Poppy and the Howies. We would have shared some with our neighbours but I'm not too sure about cooking and sharing food with others during Covid-19. I don't want to possibly make others sick so for the moment I am avoiding making food for our neighbours. It was nice to remember what the main message was from today's talk in a fun way.
