Preschool Returns

Monday 30th January 2017 saw Daniel start his 2nd year of preschool. He was very excited to go back again, although he did mention to me in the afternoon that he was a bit nervous about going back but then was ok once there.
First Day 2017
First Day 2016
He has grown up so much in the year!
Daddy organised to work from home in the morning so that he could come for preschool drop off too which was lovely. We took a few photos in the car before heading in because we were a little bit early.

At 9am we headed into the classroom with a few other families. Daniel washed his hands, saw Lorraine and Alison (his teachers from last year) and some of his little friends who are in different classes (Ava and Kayla) and then headed into his new classroom. Daniel saw Laudie (who taught him last year too) and met Sue and Sandra (his new teachers this year). He happily signed in his name and then went and played at the coffee machine (much to Daddy's delight).
We stayed for just a short time as he was so happy playing and exploring his new classroom. In the afternoon I picked him up and he was so happy with his day, so happy to have some friends in his class again (particularly Lachlan) and enjoyed his day. Just what I wanted. He took a while to leave the classroom, he was just having so much fun.

On Tuesday Eliza, Alexander and I took Daniel to preschool again. Today Daniel told me that he wanted to do some painting. After signing in he went to the easel and started drawing. I asked him what he drew and he told me it was a picture of Mummy. What a precious picture. He then painted me as well.

He has come a long way in a year!
Daniel's 1st painting in 2016
On Wednesday morning Daniel decided that he wanted to paint again. He wrote his name and then drew a picture of Daniel and Mummy. This melted my heart. I love it! He then painted both of us and had to also paint all the space between us.

My clever boy. I can't wait to see how he grows and develops this year. I can't wait to see what he produces by the end of the year. I can't wait to see how his friendships form and old friendships grow. I can't wait to see his confidence increase. Proud of him!
