Happenings

When we got home from Hervey Bay there was a package for Alexander - his Swans Membership! He is their newest recruit.

Who... me?

The garbage truck is still a hit with the kids. They just have to go and watch it. Even Alexander is starting to get in on the action.
One of my Mums Group mums found a recipe for Mango icecream. It's just 500g frozen mango and 2 frozen bananas blended together until smooth. I add a bit of milk to thin it out a bit too. The kids just love having ice cream on hot days (and James does too).
Music is in Alexander's bones and I love it! He enjoys chewing on the toy microphone and at Mothers' Group the other day, he loved playing a baby piano. I hope he continues to love music as he grows up like the other 2 do.

I have 2 little helpers who enjoy giving Alexander a bottle when he needs one. They are still learning the technique of holding it up so the milk goes out of it, but they are eager to help out.

Eliza just loves drawing. I love watching her face light up as she makes different pictures.
The trampoline has continued to be enjoyed by each of the kids (although with the hotter weather that we've had it hasn't been used this past week). I love that they just head up to it to jump on for a while, then play elsewhere, then return to it.

Alexander is doing well with eating. He loves his meals, gets grumpy when I take too long to feed him, gets upset when the meal is finished and I walk away. I have started to give him some finger food. He struggles to piece together how to pick it up and then put it in his mouth, but he is getting there. He pulled a very funny face when having beans for the first time.
He enjoyed eating a very soft pear.

Now that preschool is back Eliza and Alexander have a nice time hanging out together. She does enjoy playing with him and making him laugh.
We bought some new shoes for the kids in bobux sale (I love these shoes!). Alexander's will be very cute through winter and Eliza looks gorgeous in her new shoes too. Daniel's shoes are a little bit big for him at the moment so he hasn't tried them on.

Eliza's creative play is fantastic! She likes playing with the dolls house, with the dolls, with the pram. She also likes pretending to do cooking, to chat on the phone, and to do work.
At Mum and Dad's place the kids decided to try on the Jenny's and my clogs. Daniel thought they were very uncomfortable shoes to wear.

Alexander enjoys playing peek-a-boo with blankets and sheets. I just love his smile and how he sometimes giggles.
I also loved his giggle when trying to balance rings on his head. The squinting made me laugh each time as he anticipated the ring falling off his head.

I have decided that I want to try and do more things with Eliza's hair. One thing that I want to try and learn how to do is to braid it. This was my first attempt - pretty tricky to do when Eliza won't stay very still and when her hair is so slippery but it was pretty cool.
