Happy Christmas!

After Oscar's brithday, the next day we hopped onto a plane to head off to Hervey Bay. Daniel was upgraded to his new carseat which he looks very little in.
Once we managed to check in and get to our gate we then hopped onto the plane. Daniel travelled so well! He sat on my lap until almost take off and then he had a feed. He then had a sleep in my arms.

He basically slept for an hour. When he woke he then enjoyed having a cuddle with Daddy and looked out the window.
We once we landed we got our bags, met up with Julie, packed the car and then headed to their place. After a nap Jenny, Maddie and Ryan were around. Jenny gave James his birthday present - so cool.
And Maddie had a lovely time playing in the pool, hanging out with James and Daniel as well as the rest of us.
Cuddles for Daniel
Daniel enjoyed some time on the grass, eating the grass and kicking his legs.
Then he had some lovely cuddles with Uncle Ryan (a long overdue photo with him!)
Such a lovely photo!

Then this morning Daniel woke at 5am for some breakfast and then I hung out with him. Happy 1st Christmas to my gorgeous bub!
We had a lovely time hanging out in his room to not wake everyone up playing with his rings but clearly a suitcase with a lock on it is just as fun, if not more so!

Then after getting ready for church and having breakfast we went for a walk around the block so Daniel could go to sleep. About a minute in he was gone!
We headed off to church with Julie and Daniel was so good at it. He happily had cuddles with Nana J for most of the service. When he started to get grizzly I then took him in to feed and then it was the end of the service. We then headed back home to set up the house for lunch.

Jenny, Maddie and Ryan came to join us for present time which was lovely. Daniel chose to sleep through it all though, but got to join in the fun once everyone came for lunch.

Maddie and Ryan had a nice swim in the pool (such an awesome idea!) while we waited for everyone to come and to have lunch.

Then Nan, Pat and Norma arrived and joined in the Christmas fun by wearing Santa hats too.
Daniel woke up and we tried to have him join in the hat wearing fun but he just didn't seem too keen on it.
Cuddles with Aunty Jen and present opening it much better!

He has become so good with ripping

Looking at all his presents!
Then it was prawn time! Thanks to Aunty Jen who looked after Daniel so both James and I could eat some prawns. Lovely and fresh.

Then after a feed it was Skype time with my family. It was nice to see all of them and have a brief chat, however, the internet connection was a bit patchy so we didn't get to chat very well.
It was so nice to have Christmas as a family of 3. Even though Daniel doesn't really get it, it was still fun to have him with us.
It was then lunch time for all of us. Daniel enjoyed carrots, sweet potato, peas and potato while the rest of us enjoyed cold meats and salads.

Bon bons time
Daniel tried but wanted to eat it instead of pull it
Hat time
After lunch it was some present time and family photo time. It is so lovely that Daniel gets to see his Granny, even though he was grizzly for it (and then went to bed).

Hervey Bay family
We then gave Daniel our Christmas present, gave him his dinner and had the first go of a sippy cup. He didn't really understand what to do - lots of water in, lots of water out.

He was good at drinking from it, just not swallowing
Then it was a special treat of a swim in the pool with Daddy. We dressed him into his swimmers (00 swimmers are still a bit big, but will do) and then James headed into the water. Daniel was so gorgeous. He loved kicking his legs and playing in the water.
All ready to go!
Legs start kicking straight away
Fun times!
Splash!
It's just like a big bath!
So serious!
Drying off with Nana J

What a busy Christmas day but a lovely one too! Happy first Christmas to my baby boy. Thank you Jesus for being born all those years ago and for the sacrifice you made for me. Thank you too for blessing me with such lovely family.

P.S. I am really looking forward to watching my DVD presents - Winners and Losers and Everybody Loves Raymond. Yay for feeding Daniel
