Easter 2022

In the lead up to Easter the kids made Easter story posters at church as they listened to the Easter Story being told.

The kids enjoyed their Easter Hat parade at school. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to watch as James, Julie and I had headed to the wedding but we were sent photos of Alexander and Eliza and I told them that they were to look out for each other to pretend they were their stand in mum and dad for the parade.

Good Friday we again enjoyed it at Nana and Poppy's place and the kids especially enjoyed their Easter eggs!

Easter morning we started with reading the Easter story to focus on the real meaning of Easter - Jesus' death and resurrection. They then had a blast doing their Easter egg hunt. 

True to form, James did hide one egg that he couldn't remember where it was. After us all walking around and around trying to spot it, I found them on the side of the Renault. I love that it is an accidental tradition. We might have gone over the top with he amount of chocolate this year. Oops.

We ended the day sitting around the fire-it together. A nice relaxed way to finish the day.

Thank you Jesus for the sacrifice you have made for me. Thank you Jesus for defeating death. Thank you Jesus for loving me and washing my sins away.
