Last First Day of Preschool

1st Feb saw Alexander have his last first day of preschool, our family's last first day of preschool. I'm so not ready to finish up at this wonderful place! But I'm trying to make the most of each day there and the conversations with the wonderful staff there.

My gorgeous boy really wanted to have his own white board for his first day of preschool this year so I made him one.

The siblings were a bit more helpful for the photos this morning.

I'm not even sure what the kids were doing in this photo but it looks so very sweet!

Today is our family's last year at preschool which is going to be a big thing!

Alexander was feeling very excited but also a bit nervous about going to preschool. He asked if we could have our hug heart buttons drawn on our wrists again which we did. I love that it is something that our whole family does. Daniel was a little hesitant (I think getting a bit cool for it) but when I suggested it go on his wrist with his Garmin over it, he was ok with doing it. We explained to him that it was something to show Alexander we are supporting him so important to do.

I did find that during the day I pushed my hug button a few times. I missed my little buddy.

After walking the big kids to school, Alexander was ready for preschool. Bag on his back he was keen to go and he was excited that Daddy was coming with him too.

Because of Covid only one of us could take him into preschool, and Alexander chose for it to be Daddy.

I was so proud of him confidently walking into preschool this morning. I was so proud of him being excited to see his little friends again and to be in a different classroom with different teachers. He was keen and excited to be back and Jill said that he was so comfortable being back at preschool. I can't wait to see how much he will grow this year and how much he will learn.

At the end of the day when I picked him up, Sue said that he had had a great day. He came out with a big smile on his face and gave me a lovely big hug. He came out very chatty about his day and was excited to return tomorrow. He is happy to be in a class with his buddy Gus and also with Emma and Edward which is lovely.
