Alexander is now 3!

My baby boy is growing up. I know it is bound to happen but it feels like it is happening so quickly!
Alexander is such a sweet, cheeky, funny, crazy kid who looks up to his brother and sister so much. He is so cuddly and loves to be close to you. He loves racing cars, AFL, cricket, any sport really. He adores swinging, jumping in muddy puddles, playing with his toys, drawing, the Wiggles, dancing and singing. I love his sweet cheeky nature, his curiosity and joy. He is a messy eater which drives me crazy but he does it with a grin on his face. Favourite food would have to be peanut butter and honey on toast but most food he loves (besides potato which he really doesn't like).

His 3rd birthday started on the Thursday night (his birthday eve) when we celebrated Nana and his birthday together with cake and Nana and Poppy's presents for him before they headed off on their holiday.

Blue icing might have been a bad idea... But he loved it.

He had many cuddles on his last night as a 2 year old. He really is very loved!

On the 17th May after Daniel's operation we came home and were able to do present time with Alexander. He was so excited to get his police station and wooden pizza from us. I do love it when presents are happily received.

Present time!

Opening presents is hard work

Pizza!

Cheeky boy
He was straight into making pizzas for Daniel and Eliza who were putting in their orders.
The day was a pretty quiet one because of Daniel's operation but Alexander didn't seem to mind too much. He chatted with Nana J and Boompa over Facetime in the afternoon. He loved openning his presents form them then.

I enjoyed some cuddles because he was getting tired.
After lunch we had birthday jelly (instead of cake because we didn't need more cake).

At night I started to work on his cake. Alexander loves playing cricket, especially cricket at Nana and Poppy's place. I decided to make him a cricket pitch and pretend it was backyard cricket with Oscar, Daniel and Eliza playing too.

I like making all the cake parts edible if I can
On Saturday morning we headed down to Ruddock Park to meet up with family to celebrate Alexander's birthday. Oscar brought paper and made paper aeroplanes which kept Alexander quite happy. Especially because it flew no matter how he threw it.

The swings were a hit as always.
The kids had a great time playing on the equipment and riding around on their bikes. They did manage to stop for cake time.

Eliza had a great time playing with her birthday present from Aunty Megan and Mark - a fairy set.
It was lovely having everyone together.
Alexander then got spoilt opening his presents.

He had fun riding around on his bike too.
Alexander received a voucher for his birthday from Aunty Megan, Mark, Aunty Julie and Uncle Pete for the Swans shop voucher. He was a bit excited about it.
He loved what we got from the shop too!

Jumping for joy

I love this cheeky little man - his cuddles, his tickles, his giggle, his cheeky grin.

Happiest 3rd birthday Alexander!
