Riding Along All On My Own

For a while James and I have been saying that Eliza should start to learn to ride her bike without training wheels. We believed that she would be able to do it, it would just be confidence and she would need a few goes at doing it to build up that confidence. The Christmas break provided that time. Like with Daniel, teaching Eliza to ride her bike was Daddy's job. He took her down to Headen Park and they started to ride on the cricket pitch. I messaged him saying I was outside but to call if he wanted to Facetime to show me how she was going. He messaged back saying he could Facetime now if I wanted. They had only be gone for 5 mins!

Sure enough, he put her on video and she did a great ride! Stopping isn't quite there yet but she did great at riding straight and with speed. So proud of her!

The boys also wanted to watch so she did it again. They were very proud of her too and cheered her on!

We will need to go and practice a bit more so she can improve her stopping and starting to ride on her own but it was a great start! We just need to find some time to head down to the park and do it. We will get there. Can't wait to see her riding on her own in person! Here are a few videos that James too when Eliza started her riding. She got quite confused when James said to wave to Mummy - she thought I was there at the park and couldn't see me. He meant to wave to the camera. Cute.

While Eliza was riding at the park the boys were riding at home. They were having a great time. Alexander even started to pedal more on his own and with more speed. He even started to being pedalling on his own.
Not too far off going on family rides together in the future.
