B2 and Bel's wedding

At the start of December I had by first 2 nights away from the kiddies since I had had Daniel. James' childhood friend B2 was getting married to Bel and James and I were going to the wedding in Newcastle. James was bestman so we decided to head to Newcastle Friday night for the wedding rehearsal and then stayed there for the wedding and came home on Sunday morning. Kate and Sam organised for a Stayz place for us all to stay at - Kate, Aleesha, Leanne, Sam, James and I. It was so very lovely to be there and to hang out with these awesome people. Definitely need to try and do it again.

We arrived just in time for the wedding rehearsal so went straight to B2 and Bel's place for the rehearsal and dinner. After dinner we headed to the house and caught up with Aleesha and Leanne. In true style they had made an amazing mix of food to celebrate James' birthday. They are pretty amazing with their creativity and their tastes.

After eating so much we then headed to bed. In the morning we all enjoyed breakfast together, again beautifully presented by Aleesha and Leanne. James then headed off to B2's place to do groomsmen duties. Sam, Kate and I went for a walk into town for them to get coffee and me to get insect spray. We headed back home and got ready for the wedding. The location was gorgeous! It was a lovely wedding. Bel was quite nervous and giggly but so excited. B2 was just so happy! So lovely to see.

These guys have been great friends for so many years
I love that even though James and B2 aren't as close, they still pick up where they left off and they still are best mates. I hope that over the years they will continue to be heaps good mates, that we can catch up more and enjoy doing life together even though they live up the coast.

And I survived the weekend away from the kiddies. It was quite nice to not have to worry about them, to just look after myself and not them, to have some peace and quiet, to have adult conversations. It was good to have some me time. Thanks to Mum and Dad for looking after the kids.
