On Boxing Day in the afternoon we headed to Aunty Julie and Uncle Pete's place for a Sydney Noble Christmas dinner. It was a lovely time with the family, chatting, playing, eating, present giving. The kids were pretty good watching the cricket, playing games, chatting.
The kids were again spoilt by everyone, getting special presents.
But they were especially excited to see a large gift with all 3 of their names on it from Michael, Kate and Amy. They openned it together and were stoked to see it was a giant connect 4 board.
After presents it was time to hang out. The kids had fun playing with skipping ropes, balls, frisbees, really anything they could find. Michael and Amy were great at playing with the kids - particularly after dinner. It was nice to be able to sit and chat instead of play with the kids for a bit.
Eliza and Alexander also liked patting the fake echidna (something Eliza loved doing 3 years ago).
Dinner was lovely and yummy. A cold dinner with pavlova or plum pudding for dessert. Yum!
A lovely night was had.
The days that followed saw the kids open their different presents. The kids loved playing connect 4, although still need to learn the skills to be able to play it.
Daniel went and bought some potting mix and seeds for his garden. He chose to plant cucumber first. He is very proud of his little garden. I can't wait to see how it grows!
Eliza worked hard on completing her puzzle from Aunty Megan and Mark (with Mummy's help). She was very proud of herself for completing it.
The kids also made some Christmas balls with mince pies. Cooking is fun.
