Easter Time

Easter this year has been filled with lots of different activities. A few weeks before Easter Eliza did a painting at preschool. I thought it was a lovely painting and asked her what it was of. She told me that it was a painting of her and the cross that Jesus died on under a rainbow. I think it's great! I love that she did it on her own.
At Mainly Music on Tuesday Alexander did an Easter craft of an Easter egg. It was a really cute craft and he was very pleased with himself.
The kids then went up to church to sing some songs to the Traditional congregation. I was amazed at how Alexander stood on the stage and did the songs (he didn't really sing them but he had a fun time on stage).
On Wednesday at library we read some Easter books and then Eliza and Alexander did the craft - making some Easter bunnies. Too cute! They loved hopping around the library and back to the car.

Easter morning the kids woke up and headed to the dining room table for breakfast. They were very excited to receive their Easter eggs, a nice surprise. I couldn't resist getting Easter eggs with a Frozen mug and a Cars mug. I got a book for Alexander too.

We then headed to church together to celebrate that Jesus is risen! What a wonderful truth and a great fact to celebrate. I am so thankful that death has been defeated. For lunch we had sandwiches. I decided to be a little bit creative and make Easter bunny sandwiches.

In the afternoon Daniel and I headed to the AFL with Poppy to watch the Swans play against Port Adelaide. Even though we lost the game it was a lovely time. Daniel was so excited during the game. He was so bouncy and commented on every play that was made. I loved seeing his excitement and being so engaged in the game. Here is a glimpse of the game with Daniel.
