Fire Engine

Daniel is so lucky with the preschool he is at. On Tuesday he had a fire engine come and visit the preschool. On the way home he was having a great conversation about all the different things that he saw and what the firemen said. He was so interested in it I asked him if he wanted to draw a fire engine when he got home. He told me that he didn't know how to, but that he'd like to with my help. We sat down at the table and drew and chatted about what we were drawing and what else needed to be added. I drew a fire engine and so did Daniel.

I was so proud of him. His fire engine had a black ladder on it, and one on the roof, a hose in the boot, 2 doors to get in, a front windscreen, 2 tyres and then after chatting some more he added sirens on the roof - blue and red.

I then asked him to complete the sentence 'Today I...'. I know that it is like at school but I was just so excited that he was interested in it. He said "Today I saw a fire engine. It was great! I liked everything inside it. I liked it so much."

He was then so pleased with what he did he wanted to draw an ambulance. It's great to see his creativity come out. Can't wait to see how he will continue to grow and develop through preschool.
