Term 1 Preschool Done

Daniel has completed his 1st Term of preschool and he has absolutely loved it! He doesn't understand why he has 2 weeks of holidays now, bless him. He has start to make some friendships which is lovely. One of the girls, Matilda, goes to church and he gets so excited seeing her on Sundays too. His joy of preschool is so obvious. On Tuesday they had an end of term picnic lunch which the families were invited to. Eliza and I went and joined Daniel. It was so lovely to watch Daniel in the classroom - doing some activities, singing some songs, etc. He was so attentive to his teacher, Alison and so engaged. I just loved it. We then headed outside and had lunch together then Daniel and Eliza had a quick play before heading home for her nap. I asked Daniel if he wanted to come home with us or if he wanted to stay until the normal finishing time. He told me in a very matter fact way 'I will stay until the normal time'. Bless him. 

Mum was great and came around to be here while Eliza had her nap. When I went to pick up Daniel, he was the only one in the classroom. I felt pretty bad that he stayed but he was so keen to. His teachers were fine with it too and said they needed to stay until 4 anyway so it was fine. He was happily dancing to a song he requested called the Wombat Wobble. I had never heard this song before but he was so cute dancing to it. When we came home I looked up the song and played it and he enjoyed dancing to it. Enjoy :-)
