Firsts!!!

Eliza has had a lot of firsts over the last few months. She is just growing up too quickly! I see other friends with their newborn bubs and I wonder where my little baby has gone. But then I am loving watching her grow up and see her personality come out (most of the time). So here are some of the firsts for Eliza.

Friday the 12th December I saw her first tooth starting to poke through.

It did take a few more weeks to finally get the photo of it as she just moves too much or wouldn't open her mouth for me to take the photo. Eliza now has her 2 bottom teeth and is still working on her top 2. So far she hasn't seemed to be too bothered by them coming through (touch wood!!). I don't know if she is just a good teether or if it's the amber necklace that she wears but whatever it is, I am grateful about it! Hopefully the rest of her teeth won't bother her. I don't really want her to get her top teeth as they make kids look so much older but I guess they need to come (and will come).

When we got home from Hervey Bay, there was a package for Eliza. It was her first Sydney Swans membership!!!
She was pretty excited about becoming a Swans member. Sadly the package is the same as what Daniel got last year so I'm a bit disappointed about that. I would love her to get something like the beanie and scarf that Daniel got the first year. Hopefully next year there will be something different. Will wait and see. Looking forward to taking the kids to another game this year at some point.

Daniel also received his Swans membership package. This year he has moved to being a Cyggy member which is pretty cool. He got so many goodies!
He loves wearing his hat outside and playing with his ball! Thanks Swannies!

Eliza and Daniel enjoyed their first swim at home in our little blow up pool. It's not as exciting at Nana J and Boompa's or as a real pool but it sure does help them cool down on a hot day and burn some energy!
Focussed on playing
Energised kiddies
Get me out of here!
Although Eliza just loves trying to get out and also pulling out the weeds (helpful) to eat them (not so helpful). Of course Daniel needs to join in the fun too. She does enjoy being in the water too. I just need to remember to put in a kettle full or 2 of boiling water to warm it up a little bit (poor things were freezing at the start. Ooops).

While I was cleaning up the study I found a bag that we have put some dress up clothes in. Daniel, being his helpful self, came in and was moving things around and found it. He wanted to put it on so we dressed him up as a pirate - a friendly one of course! It's his first time dressing up!
Daniel has started to eat more neatly so he has stopped wearing a bib at meal times.
He started at lunch time, then breakfast time and now at dinner time too. He sometimes gets messy but on the whole, he does pretty well. He has also stopped clipping himself in, and just uses the seat as a booster, although he does want to just sit on a normal seat.

Eliza has always had strong legs and enjoyed standing. She is increasingly standing independently. Here is her first time standing at a chair.
And then standing with the mobile.
Although, the mobile isn't the best to leave her at as it isn't the most stable thing. She was standing with it and pulled it back, resulting on her bumping the back of her head on the floor and the mobile hitting the front of her head. Poor poppet.

On Friday 23rd January, 2015 Eliza started to crawl properly. (I will do a more detailed post of the progress later). Up on both her hands and knees she is definitely on the move now and loving it! I, on the other hand, am not as she is getting into lots of different things.

To celebrate Eliza being 11 months old, I decided to try putting her hair into a ponytail. With a lot of difficulty I managed it and I think she looks so cute!
It only works one way though as he hair is longer on the right than it is on the left. Still, a lot of fun!

She then decided to celebrate being 11 months old by pulling herself up and standing up on the door! I walked into the kitchen and when I looked back into the backroom there she was standing up. Cheeky girl.
So as you can see, a lot of things have happened. My baby girl is growing up!
