My Birthday 2022

What a lovely birthday I have had. I have been very spoilt and felt very loved by many.

Tuesday night was the start of birthday celebrations, with a yummy Chinese dinner organised by Mum for me with the family. Unfortunately Oscar was sick so Jens and he stayed home and Howie had to work. But the small positive meant that there was enough dinner left for us to have some for lunch the next day. Perfect! Thanks Mum for my tasty meal and yummy apple cake.

Friday morning we did early morning presents before Daniel had to head to band. I loved reading the messages in the book, especially Daniel's comment thanking me for going down the slide for the Big Freeze. That made me laugh. I was excited to receive the tickets for Mary Poppins for the 5 of us and Mum and Dad to go and see on Saturday. I couldn't wait for the boys to go to their first musical. Then I was very excited to open my large present - more Friends Lego. This is to go with the cafe, the Apartments. It was so fun looking at the details in the photos on the pack and remembering the episodes. The kids also asked many questions about different parts of the Lego so I tried to explain the different parts.

Daniel headed off to band with James and I got the little 2 ready for school with breakfast and teeth as well as myself ready for work. I walked the kids up to school and then headed into work. It was a lovely day in the office. It was quite a quiet day which was really nice so a much slower paced day where I also started to clean and organise the shelves. Mike was in the office and the Lara messaged saying happy birthday. After that I had messages from other staff members, Will came in and shouted 'Happy birthday Debbie', Carol H came in to sing me happy birthday and Andrew and Janelle came and gave me a caramel slice for my birthday. James came in to have lunch with us too (and clean the coffee machine).

After school the kids had a play at Anne’s place and she kindly bought a cake for us all at share. Very cute having the kids sing happy birthday to me.

Friday night I didn't care what we had for dinner, I just wanted something that the kids wouldn't complain about having and I didn't want to cook. I was grateful for James cooking pizzas for us all - tasty and no
complaints!

Saturday was my present day. At 12 midday we headed into the city to go and see Mary Poppins. It was fun for us all to dress up. Daniel looked so very handsome, Eliza so very pink and Alexander so very cute. I was very excited to share it with my family and enjoy the first musical for the boys. It was nice to have Nana and Poppy join us too. Mary Poppins was practically perfect in every way. The kids enjoyed it a lot, although Alexander did find it a bit long. They loved seeing Mary Poppins fly off at the end of the musical.

After the musical we headed to New Shanghai for a tasty dumplings dinner. Such tasty food and a fun night.

Back at work I am enjoying my present from the Howies of my nice keep cup. I bought a tea strainer that I am really enjoying using too. Perfect to drink cups of tea.

I felt very loved and spoilt for my birthday.
