Daddy's Band

The kids have been desperate to go to one of Daddy's gigs. Most of them start at 7:30pm and are at the Bowling Club and I just don't feel comfortable taking the 3 of them there. They did see the band play at the Carols last year but it isn't the same atmosphere as at an inside gig. But this week there was a gig on at our church raising money for Dunamis Outreach Australia and the work they do with kids in India. I decided that because it was at a familiar place for the kids and with Malcolm being here, we'd head in to see their first set. The kids absolutely loved it! They did enjoy running around, dancing, being excited and silly at times but they loved watching James and the band play.

We were pretty big groupies.

Then the kids were the first 3 to be up and dancing to the music (with their earmuffs on to protect their ears).
Other people got into it too and joined the kids. I loved watching Eliza sit on Malcolm's lap to watch Daddy play (left side of the picture with Alexander too)
The loved the music.
Daddy's keytar was also a hit!

We would have stayed longer but it was late for the kiddies. I'm so glad that we went though. To see their joy and their pride for James playing was great, so precious and something that I will always remember. It was also lots of fun dancing with each of the kids at different stages, although a bit rude when they'd say 'no' or run away from me. Ha. I guess it's already not very cool to dance with Mum outside of the house.
