After we arrived James did some work from the house while I took the kids to the beach. I just loved watching the kids going straight down to the water and the joy on their faces as they chased the waves and ran away from them. We mostly stayed on the sand because there were some blue bottles in the water. Alexander has grown so much in confidence and enjoyment when playing in the water, although his balance isn't so great and he did end up falling over, face planting, getting splashed by waves. He did get upset for a short time but then cheered up quickly.

| This was how the kids were when I said 'Ok. It's time to go.' So much sand! |
Daniel and Eliza also had a blast making pools and then running and jumping into them.
The afternoon was then filled with shopping, dinner cooking, eating and then bed. The morning was a bit slower as it was raining. The kids enjoyed colouring in and drawing together.
Alexander and I had fun singing songs while drawing. 'Put a spot over here...'
We then looked over and saw Andrew and Janelle from church. We had a little chat and then headed down to the water for more wave jumping. Daniel was keen to go into the water but it was too cold to go right in. Alexander and Eliza had a blast jumping the waves as long as they were holding hands and Daniel really enjoyed running in and out of the waves.
Back at home while we prepared dinner, James bought some Oysters for us to have. Eliza decided she wanted some so she had a go. She didn't hate it but equally she didn't love it. She said she wouldn't have another one.
Daniel wanted to try one too but it made it to his lips and then he pushed it away. Not so keen.
We had dinner out on the verandah of sausages and salads. Yummy! Then at bedtime everyone fell asleep pretty quickly, including Daddy when he was resting with Eliza.
On Sunday we packed up, cleaned up and then headed to Old Bar to see Grandma G. Unfortunately it wasn't a very positive visit. She was certain that she needed to get outside to see her brother but all the doors were locked on her. She couldn't sit down to play a game with the kids and she didn't understand why her photo was on a room door because she didn't stay there. Physically she seemed well, just mentally she wasn't present. It was pretty hard to see. The kids were so good with her though, especially Eliza who was telling Grandma about anything and everything.
We then headed back home. It was such a lovely weekend away. As I said at the start we are so blessed to be able to go and stay at this place and it was such a great weekend with family and with the weather! Until next year!
