Sitting up

For a while we have been practicing Eliza sitting. She started off very unstable and would automatically flop onto the bed.
She gradually got stronger and better at sitting on the bed but it was still with us being near for the flop.
Sitting in the high chair has definitely helped strengthen her sitting muscles and her confidence.
And she has enjoyed sitting against people to help sit, although she has done the occasional thrust forward which results in a faceplant if you're not quick enough to catch (which often I'm not ready for because of chatting with others or playing with Daniel).
James gave Eliza a go at sitting in her cot at the end of September and she held herself pretty well which we were impressed by and she was very proud of herself about.
And then it just seemed to click. She is pretty confident to sit by herself (with pillows around) and is very happy sitting. I feel comfortable leaving her sitting on her own now which is a big help! Daniel has been pretty good too at leaving her sitting, however, sometimes he decides that it's time for Eliza to have a rest but that's only a couple of times so not too bad.
My clever girl!
