After a sleep-in on Saturday morning I then spent some time hanging out with my boys. Daniel is just such a delight. He is becoming more adventurous but also more interested in different things. He loves to sit and read (or more look at) his books. He loves to throw his ball around and chase it. He loves to have crawling races down the hallway. He loves to have tickles and giggles lots.
In the afternoon the Swans were playing a twilight game in Adelaide so after Daniel's nap we started watching it. Of course we had to dress to support the Swannies.

We have been allowing Daniel to spend some time in the loungeroom lately. Not heaps of time and not to watch tv (unless the afl has been on) but just to let him explore a bit more of the house under our watchful eye. I'm glad that we have left it until he is this bit older. He is pretty good with only touching things that are ok to be touched. He likes crawling around, looking out the door and playing on the coffee table. But his main room continues to be the back room.
At half time we paused the game to feed Daniel dinner and give him a bath and a bit of a play. After dinner Jenny came around and we watched the rest of the game. Yay for the boys winning, and convincingly winning.
Sunday morning I got up and had a play with Daniel so that James could have a sleep in. After his nap time we went over to Nana and Poppy's place for my birthday lunch. When we arrived Mum said that I needed to see something. Not knowing what to expect I walked into the dining room and had the biggest surprise! It was the train birthday cake!
I have wanted this cake for ever but Mum had said that it looked too hard so I got different ones instead (still awesome ones but different). Well all that changed today. It was so exciting! Thanks Mum. Daniel didn't seem that excited by it though.
After a bit of a hang out, where Grayma read to Oscar,
we had some yummy chinese cooking, Mumma Gower style. Fried rice, beef and black bean sauce, prawn stirfry and dim sims. Yummy! I love having this meal! Because 3 of the boys had either the start of end of a cold they got to sit at the quarantine table.
We then got to have the delicious cake. There was the singing of 'Happy Birthday' and the blowing out of candles. Then there was the eating of the tasty cake (something that Oscar was very much looking forward to!

| Yay! |
On Monday morning James again looked after Daniel so I could sleep in (after lots of 'happy birthday's). When I got up James decided that it would be funny to put Daniel into his bucket.
Daniel didn't find it quite so funny.
James also made me some breakfast - chirizo and potato omelet. Tasty.
Daniel does love to put the bucket on his head. He crawls around the place with it on his head and thinks he is so funny. It's pretty cute to watch.
Then at 12 mum and dad came around to look after Daniel so that James could take me out to lunch. He drove me to Atlantis restaurant. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. For entree we had crispy school of prawns to share. They were very tasty little prawns. Then for main James had a steak fillet and I had a fish and fennel pie which was very nice! It was a very special treat. We then went for a drive to Peter Alexander to get some pjs for my birthday present from James. It was basically the first time I had been shopping since having Daniel. We then headed back home. Thanks Mum and Dad for looking after Daniel so I could be taken out.
In the evening we had Bible Study over for a dinner. It was a really nice time, sitting around, eating yummy food and chatting away. We have some very good cooks in the group too.
It was a very special weekend and I felt very loved and cared for. A lot had happened in 30 years!
On Tuesday when I was hanging out the washing Daniel decided to "help" me. He climbed into the washing basket and had a great time pulling out different things and crawling around in the basket.
He was very proud of himself. Today when I was hanging out the washing, he again decided to help. I missed him getting into the basket, but caught him playing and also getting out. He is becoming quite adventurous.
