Just Crusin'

The week before we headed to Tasmania (so mid March) Alexander changed from just pulling up on the coffee table to put one foot in front of the other and start cruising. He's getting pretty confident and speedy with it too. Very clever little guy.

He has also started to try letting go for a few seconds. The first time he did it was at mum and dad's place with Jenny watching too. He wasn't very focused on holding on and wanted to swap hands so let go of both for a second, balanced and then held onto my legs again.

At home he was 'helping' me hang out the washing by pulling off the pegs that I had put on. Cheeky boy. He again lifted his hand off for a second then went to hold on again. The poor little guy unfortunately missed the clothes horse and fell flat on his face. He was ok after a cuddle.

He has also started to show signs that he will be a climber. Twice he has tried to climb at the book shelves, standing on a toy car, and toy garbage bin.

He was then in the play kitchen, standing at the sink. His feet were perfectly balancing on the sides of the wooden crate so he could be that little bit higher to reach everything. Oh dear! I've never had a climber before. I hope he doesn't become too adventurous!

He has also started to crawl properly, on hands and knees. He doesn't do much commando crawling anymore. I'm a bit sad about this because he doesn't do his side lying pose much anymore either.
