October Happenings

October holidays, the kids headed to Nana and Poppy's place for some fun adventures. They headed to Manly on the ferry and also visited Inflatable world. So much fun!

Meanwhile James and I enjoyed a lovely lunch out courtesy of a thank you gift from preschool at Saddles. It was such a lovely place and a fun drive in the Reno to get there.

We headed to church for a family fun afternoon. Carol organised a program that was to help us as parents and families to disciple our kids. One of the tasks was to make our faces on biscuits and remember that we're all uniquely and wonderfully made. We also made a fun Bible story out of Lego.

The kids were an awesome help cleaning my car. They had a blast cleaning it, and scrubbing it as well as getting sprayed by the hose. Always a fun job for Dad to do.

The boys both won the cricket player of the match in October.

Daniel organised a bass concert in his room. Notice all the toys sitting and listening too!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner with our awesome neighbours - Carmen and Marcus and Amelia and Rowan. Good neighbours are like gold.

The kids got to go and be a guard of honour at the AFLW game. They loved waving their flags as the girls ran onto the ground.

Then Alexander and Eliza got to play at halftime. I loved watching them run around and enjoy playing. The best bit was their Noble to Noble play that led to a goal. Well done my monkeys!

Grandparents' Day was celebrated at school. Unfortunately Nana and Poppy weren't able to come because of exams and Nana J wasn't able to make it down this year because of sickness. Instead we asked Dennis and Carol if they were able to go because Auntie Sue was working as well. They were honoured and more than happy to go. Then Auntie Sue was able to shift her start time slightly and was able to go for the performances from each of the kids but not the open classrooms. Dennis and Carol then went to the open classrooms. Again, amazing neighbours are like gold! I'm so glad that Auntie Sue was able to join in for some of the day.

We got a thank you email from the Swans and was pretty cool to see Alexander and Eliza on one of the slides.

Watson's Bay With Nana J

Nana J stayed with us for a few more days so we decided to go on an adventure as we had a free Saturday. We headed to Watson's Bay for a ferry ride and fish and chips. It was so lovely to head out. The kids loved being on the ferry.

It was a bit windy

We also did a little bit of a walk along the coast of South Head where the kids were fascinated by the gunners points from WW2. They also loved seeing the giant anchor to remember those who drowned when the Dunbar sank off shore.

After our walk we headed back down to the water and ordered our Fish and Chips. We did have to change seats after the seagulls were over confident to eat our food!

The ferry back was lovely (and windy) and we walked around to the Opera House to enjoy the view. Always nice to play tourist in your own home town. We finished our adventure with ice cream - a must have.

So nice to enjoy an adventure with Nana J and for the beautiful day.
