After feeling Bubble kick me for the past 2.5 weeks, last night when I went to bed, Bubble became quite active. James walked in and I said that if he hurried up he might be able to feel Bubble for the first time.
He put his hand on my tummy and I put my hand on top of his. I felt Bubble kick so asked him if he felt it. James wasn't too sure if he felt Bubble or me with my hand being on top. So I took off my hand and rolled to my side. A little bit after James did a big gasp followed by a giggle. He felt Bubble move :-) I am so happy that he has now felt our baby move and that he has been able to share that special moment. He felt it move a couple of times and then Bubble settled down. So yay for James feeling Bubble kick :-)

First Big Purchase
On Tuesday night James and I went to the SAN to book in for having the baby. The lady was very nice and helpful. At the end she gave us a bag which had millions of brochures in it. Being a good girl I looked through the brochures and found a couple which were useful.
One was that the Steelcraft Agile would have $50 if purchased before the end of Jan - not helpful. But then we looked up the website and they have extended the offer until the 1st of March. That left this weekend to go shopping to see what prams are out there and to look at car seats.
Our friends Ali and Stu had the Agile and really recommended it. Ali showed me all the different features of it and it is quite easy to use and move around. It is also very light weight which will be good for my back, considering Mum, Grandma and Aunty Sue all have back problems. We really liked the pram, but were unsure about the capsule. I was keen to find a reversible car seat so Bubble will use it for a long time, and my concern was that a capsule would last for 6 months but then we'd have to get another seat until Bubble was 4 and then another one until Bubble was 7. I wasn't very happy to get 3 different car seats. So we spoke with the sales people. They were very friendly. While the capsule is often used until 6 months you can then get a seat that will last the kid until 7 years old. This was good to know. I would ideally like Bubble to be rear facing until 1 year old, but we just weren't liking the other prams, their designs and features. So we agreed with the agile.
This is a link to the website showing the pram and capsule.

We tried putting the capsule and the pram in the car. They both fit well. The pram takes up space in the boot, but that is to be expected and we will still be able to fit some things around it. So yeah. Also, we got the green one - we felt the red one was a little bit too bright. So that was our first big purchase for Bubble and it killed 2 birds with one stone - pram and car seat.

All Good
Today I had another appointment with Dr Booker. I'm 22 weeks and this is the size of my tummy.
Dr Booker even commented about how it is definitely there. He listened to the heart beat and said it all sounded good. He said that all the ultra sound images look good and that there were no problems - even the lump thingy that showed up, he said isn't a problem so not to worry which was good. He also spoke about the placenta being 2.1cm away, which just meant that I didn't need another ultrasound. He said that if it doesn't move it could cause bleeding which will be a problem, but that only occurs in 1% of people so it is a very small possibility, again not to worry. Hopefully the placenta moves up more (like it does in most cases).
It was nice to have the whole day off today - even though the appointment only went for 10mins. A sleep-in was nice, relaxing was nice and the chance to hang out with my friend Ruth and her kids this afternoon was nice too.
Bubble has been quite active. It's pretty cute because it becomes active particularly when I'm in devotions in the morning at school or when I'm praying. I think it really likes God already which is good :-)
We also got the picture frame of Psalm 139 to put up in Bubble's room. We are quite excited about putting it up. These pictures don't do it justice but here is an idea of how it turned out.
We also (not related to Bubble) got our picture from Venice framed (finally) and are so happy with how it looks! Here it is, now we just need to work out where to put it up :-)

Poke
I have been meaning to blog for a week now but it has been so crazy busy with school! On Wednesday it was exactly 20 weeks and then at night I was sitting on the couch and felt something that was like poking in my tummy. I just ignored it for a bit but it continued. I told James that I thought I could feel Bubbles moving or I had gas. Straight away he popped his hand on my tummy, but Bubbles stopped moving.
Then when I went to be I was lying on my back again and I felt the poking feeling again. It was so weird. It was Bubbles moving.
Since then, Bubbles has been quite active. It was nice that Bubbles decided to move then as I was having quite a hard day and night and it really made me smile. Even on the Thursday morning in devotions I was praying to God that I needed something to smile about as I was finding things at school so hard and again, Bubbles started moving straight away. :-) Such a nice answer to prayer.
I really want James to be able to feel Bubbles move. We know it will be a bit of time though. A couple of night ago when I was going to sleep I was feeling Bubbles move and James tried to feel it again, but nothing. But then he did get to feel Bubbles and one part of my tummy was hard and that made him smile lots.
Tomorrow I'm going to tell me kids as a couple of parents have said that their kids know about it and are talking about it. My autistic boy thought the kids were lying and then cried when his mum said I was having a baby and wouldn't be at school for some of the year. Quite cute but maybe I should start preparing them for the middle of Term 2.

Frustrations
So it took just 2 days for the carpark gossip to spread that I am pregnant, not that I'm surprised. Some of the kids know too - one boy asked me on the 2nd day if I was having a baby and yesterday I was asked if I was pregnant because I looked like I was (kids say the darnedest things - I'm glad that I am pregnant or I would be insulted :-p)
But today I found out that the parents are annoyed with me because I'm pregnant. Kat and I were saying that it's funny that parents are annoyed that I'm becoming a parent... anyway, it's a bit frustrating to hear that. I guess on the flip side they must like me or be happy with me because they're annoyed. Anyway, that is all for the time being.

Hello Bubble!
Today James and I went for our 19 week ultrasound. This is the common one to check all measurements. At 7:30am I drank my 2 big glasses of water and an hour later we were at the SAN Ultrasound place waiting to go in. The lady doing the ultrasound was very friendly and very good at her job. She knew exactly what she was looking at and explained each of the different bits and pieces. Overall she said that all the measurements are normal and that it looks like a beautiful baby - which we were so happy to hear.
Here are some of the photos:
So all was good. Bubble was well behaved too - had its legs crossed so we didn't see if it's a girl or a boy. I can see though how people go into the ultrasound saying they won't find out the gender and then change their mind when in there. I considered it, but then decided I still want the surprise and excitement when Bubble is born.
There were a couple of little things to keep an eye on, but the lady said to not worry about them. One was that the placenta was possibly sitting low. She needed to do an internal examination to check that and said that if it was sitting 2cm lower I'd need to come back in for another ultrasound at 34/36 weeks to make sure it had moved. But all good. I was just in the safe zone. The other thing which I need to ask Dr Booker about is a long fibroid, a benign growth or something. She said it won't affect the pregnancy but pointed it out so I will follow it up to see if I should be concerned about it or not. Other than that though she said it was all good and when we chat with Dr Booker, all should be fine.
I also took a couple of photos of my belly as I have started to pop.
We also bought a rug for Bubble's room. We are getting a poster framed that was made for me. It is the start of my favourite Psalm - Psalm 139. This has a red wash over it, so James and I decided to go for a red sort of theme. While at IKEA we bought a red cushion for the rocking chair and then on Deals Direct we bought a rug. Here is a picture of how the room looks now.
We are very happy with how Bubble's room is looking. It is coming together so well :-)
Lastly, it took the carpark chat (in other words, the parent gossip group) 1 day to find out that I am pregnant so this afternoon I had some parents congratulating me and one of my kids asked if I was having a baby. Atleast it is now out there. :-)
